College Is Expensive!
I’m Akram Mikhail, a 2016 graduate of McGavock High School and a current student at Tennessee Technological University. One of the first things that every student learns in college is this: college is expensive! Fortunately, I received several scholarships that made attending college possible. But, those scholarships didn’t cover the cost of textbooks. Thanks to the McGavock Scholars scholarship, I was able to purchase my Graphics, Chemistry, Psychology, and Calculus textbooks for the fall semester. I am incredibly grateful for the scholarship, and it has definitely impacted me in a positive way!
